How it Works

Olmesartan works by blocking the effect of a substance called angiotensin II. Angiotensin II causes your blood vessels to narrow, so by blocking its effect by using olmesartan, it allows the blood vessels to relax and widen. This then allows for the blood pressure to be reduced and it reduces the workload of the heart.
