A child may have 1 to 2 doses of 250 mg whereas an adult can have 1 to 2 capsules of 500 mg of the antibiotic per day to get cured from the disease.
This is a very powerful antibiotic and hence it has some side effects such as diarrhoea and vomiting. Therefore, this tablet should be taken only after a consultation with your doctor. Prolonged continuation of the antibiotic may result in the formation of vaginal yeast, which may lead to white vaginal discharge from the body, white patches in the mouth, dark yellow viscous urine, and severe abdominal pain.
