Edurant is an antiretroviral medicine known as non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs), it works by slowing down the progress of HIV infection by reducing the amount of virus in your body. Edurant does this by stopping the virus from replicating itself. Edurant blocks the action of the Reverse Transcriptase enzyme which helps the virus replicate, this results in destroying the viral HIV chain.
