Purinethol is known as an anti cancer medication. Purinethol works by interfering with the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body. Purinethol specifically interferes with the growth of DNA and RNA of the cancer cells by substituting their building blocks, this then prevents the cancer cells from growing and multiplying.
