Glucagon causes the liver to produce more sugar, so by Isophane Insulin reducing the amount of glucagon in the body, this also helps to reduce the levels of glucose in the blood which then helps in the treatment of type 1 and 2 diabetes by facilitating the re-uptake of glucose in the muscle and fat cells.
