Acetaminophen is popularly known as Paracetamol and used to relief pain and reduce fever. For headaches, cold, toothaches, backache, and muscle aches, this drug is also helpful. It can help reduce pain in mild arthritis but it does not cure swelling and inflammation related issues. The drug is also known as Calpol and is widely manufactured by MACLODS PHARMA and GSK.

As already mentioned, Paracetamol is a preferred drug for reducing fever and relieving pain. It is also used in osteoarthritis to relieve pain although it has little or no effect on the swelling and inflammation caused due to the condition. It is also the first line treatment for backaches, mainly for the lower back. It is also used to treat headaches and acute migraine pain. For minor postoperative pain, this medicine is quite effective as well. For common pains related to dental, postpartum, and headaches, it acts best when used in combination with caffeine.
